When we love someone, we create an image of that person. But when it comes down to it, do we project our love onto that image or onto the person?
This film follows a young couple with a newborn child in a foreign city. Ruben, unable to talk about his feelings, isolates himself by using the "night alphabet" to write. In doing so, however, he drifts further and further away from reality. Meanwhile, his wife Diana fights her own battle. Trapped in a small apartment, she must face her baby blues. The fictional world Ruben has created begins to bleed into reality, exacerbating Diana's psychotic and confusing episodes. Little by little, both of them destroy the final ruins of their relationship.
